Assists with the operations of the school health services program, performs operational, administrative, and logistical tasks required to provide wellness services; maintains databases; produces reporting and provides data auditing support; participates in school wellness activities; implements training; collaborates with school and county organizations and groups.

Qualifications

Required

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate.
• Two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience in matters related to student health.
• Possession of a current license to practice as a practical nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia and in good standing with the Virginia Board of Nursing.
• Knowledge of theory, procedures, and practices related to student health and wellness.
• Knowledge of public health concerns and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies.
• Proficiency in the use of technology.
• Ability to gather, confirm accuracy, and reconcile data.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with other professionals within the schools and communities.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
