• Employment Type: PermanentWe are seeking an experienced Nurse Liaison to provide quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care and organizational policies. The Nurse Liaison is responsible for the communication process with the patient and family members during the surgery center visit. HOURS: Full Time, 0 Monday-FridayRESPONSIBILITIES: Introduces self to patients and their families during the pre-operative phase for initial assessment of patient and family needs Accompanies parents of patients to and from Operating Room Communicates patients' progress, providing status updates to family members, up through discharge process Assists with facilitation of daily surgical schedule via telephone communication with patients to ensure efficient arrival times, thus reducing schedule delays and patient wait times Communicates immediate patient/visitor concerns/complaints to center Administrator Serves as patient advocate QUALIFICATIONS: Current licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse Current BLS certification Operating Room experience preferredFamiliarity with our current outpatient surgical trends Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong telephone techniques Basic computer skillsInova Health System Job ID .
