Job Description:

Shifts: 8:00pm- 6:30am

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Echo/Vascular Tech is required.
Performs vascular ultrasound procedures of the carotids, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders/diseases affecting circulation in accordance with established practices and procedures.
Produces two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of the the patient.
Performs venous dopplers of the lower and upper extremities.
This is an ECHO Tech Only position - vascular not required
Minimum two years experience in an Vascular Laboratory
Certification:
BLS AHA
ARDMS
Duties and Responsibilities:
Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.
Communicates results to physicians and responds to questions and concerns.
Performs diagnostic Carotids, Abdominal Aorta Screenings, ABI and arterials studies of upper and lower extremities of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAEL and ICAVL guidelines and in accordance with the echo/vascular laboratory protocols.
Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions during vascular study.
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of IV's and central line usage as they pertain to diagnostic medical sonography.
Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient
