Job DescriptionInova Health's Psychiatric and Behavioral Health Department is looking for an Inpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners to support our growing programs in the Northern Virginia community.Job OverviewProvides safe and effective care to ambulatory patients under the supervision of a collaborating physician. Utilizes independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and provision of ongoing care to ambulatory patients that is in accordance with nurse practitioner licensure regulations for the Commonwealth of Virginia and delineated in the written Scope of Practice/Protocol for Nurse Practitioner.Teamwork/Coordination of Care: Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others. Exhibits respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines and uses an integrated approach to achieve desired patient outcomes. Evidence-BasedPractice/Learning: Uses evidence-based standards, guidelines, and protocols to the delivery of patient care. Incorporates new information and approaches, when appropriate, to continuously improve patient care and practice.Professionalism / Professional Development: Ensures ongoing growth and development of clinical skills and knowledge by assuming responsibility for lifelong learning. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice, also serves as a resource and mentor.
