REQ#: 2019-65998Job DescriptionGeneral Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a leading provider of systems engineering, integration, IT service operations and support solutions, is seeking talented professionals to deliver valuable services and solutions to our customers.We are seeking a Network Engineer mid level (Secret Clearance required):Assist in the design and development of voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks.Including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.Provides level design, test, and configuration engineering for software defined networking (SDN) initiatives working closely with application virtualization engineers and the O&M community/team.Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.Supports the acquisition of hardware and software.Provide technical support and troubleshooting on firewalls, switches and routers.Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto OS a large plusWill perform daily and weekly network administration duties.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.Participates in special projects as required.Willing to travel overseas to various DoS EmbassiesEducationMinimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.QualificationsMinimum of two (2) years of directly related experience in network analysis and design.Secret Security clearance required.Experience desired in any of the following:Cisco L2/L3, Palo Alto Firewalls, VMware NSX, Juniper L2/L3, Juniper Firewalls, Dell VRTX For more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology has served as a trusted provider of information technology, systems engineering, training and professional services to customers across federal, state, and local governments, and in the commercial sector.
