Job Details ECS is seeking a Deputy Operations Manager to work in our Fairfax, VA office. Job Description: This position assists with customer engagements including technical discussions and project monitoring and control. The Deputy Operations Manager directly to the Operations Manager and provides analysis on current and planned activities daily. Specific responsibilities include; organizing/scheduling meetings, managing project plans, action items and risks; creating meeting agendas and publishing meeting minutes; organizing project kickoff and Technical Exchange Meetings; supporting contract actions and financial tasks such as tracking invoices. ECS seeks a Deputy Operations Manager to support the development and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud Solutions for a DoD Customer. The candidate will serve as a deputy to the Operations Manager of Field Support Operations on several fast-paced projects supporting the development of AI in the intelligence analysis arena. The candidate has experience successfully overseeing the operations of projects in a complex and uncertain environment. The work is performed in a multidisciplinary team setting, supporting several lines of effort delivering revolutionary capabilities to the US Intelligence Community and Operational Forces in CONUS and overseas. The candidate is highly motivated and enthusiastic about implementing new technologies where deadlines are important to national security. The candidate will contribute to a critical pathfinder program for the Department of Defense (DoD) that is changing how we gather and share intelligence. Position Responsibilities: - Coordinate closely with several project managers, supporting a diverse team of technical and subject matter experts in the execution of a variety of requirements for several projects delivering actual capabilities to the tactical edge; - In direct support of the Operations Manager, coordinate with Security, Procurement, Contracts, Legal, Logistics, HR, and other program employees; - Work directly with the Government team daily to ensure efforts are aligned to requirements, adjust to changing priorities, and adapt to strategic challenges that influence focus of effort. Have the skill and ability to quickly respond to change rather than following a rigid plan; - Assist in the management of several subcontractors, including monitoring cost and invoicing, and accepting and verifying delivery of goods and services; - Monitor adherence to policies and procedures to ensure smooth daily operations in areas including deployment of personnel and the purchasing and fielding of operational support equipment (including ITAR items); - Track FSO Program functions and activities; prepare and deliver status reports, both written and verbal; provide daily updates to the Operations Manager; - Stand in for the Operations Manager when the Operations Manager is unavailable; - Schedule meetings, create agendas, publish minutes and track actions; - Support creation of user accounts and track JIRA Tickets; - Assist with onboarding FSO employees; - Support weekly Program Meetings with Government customers; - Assist FSO project managers with administrative tasks Required Skills: - Must be a US Citizen - Must have an active Secret Clearance - Bachelor's degree in a Business, Project Management, Finance or Information Technology - Experience in developing and managing projects, to include project teams, prioritization of lines of effort, planning, scheduling and close out - 1-2 years of relevant work experience - Proficient with technology such as MS office Suite, ticket tracking systems etc. - Excellent communication and writing skills - Experience with tracking and reporting project metrics. - Experience managing stakeholders and ability to quickly adjust to changing customer priorities.
