What We are Looking For: We are looking for a project manager to join our PMO group that will be responsible for the execution and completion of all aspects of critical strategic projects. This individual will oversee projects that require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration that are directly related to established strategic goals of the Credit Union. This includes (i) the conduct of initial feasibility studies for projects and (ii) the overall planning and management of such projects utilizing internationally recognized Project Management methodologies and best practices, and (iii) the leadership of Credit Union management and staff, as required by these high-priority initiatives. The Project Manager will maintain and refine resources that promote Project Management best practices throughout all levels of Credit Union initiatives. This role will also perform research and development of new services, products and processes that would improve internal operating efficiency and satisfy aggregate member demand. Responsibilities: Perform preliminary research and investigation regarding potential corporate projects; prepare initial feasibility studies, including: budget, financial projections, business impact analyses and member benefit analysis. Develop project recommendations and present such recommendations to Senior Management, the Managing Director and/or Board of Directors for formal approval. Prepare and administer Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents as appropriate to the initiative, and manage the evaluation of responses in the context of project decision-making. Develop and document formal scope of work and Project Management plans, including all necessary subsidiary plans and processes as defined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge. Manage and control Project Charters, Stakeholder Identification, Requirements Collection, Scope Definition, Project Resources and Project Schedules, and identification and analysis of system requirements and deliverables. Define all project-related activities, deadlines and deliverables and coordinate with Department Directors the definition of roles and responsibilities at the outset of each project, and revisit where appropriate. Plan and coordinate project scheduling, budgeting, and administrative tasks. Create, monitor and manage project budgets as well as project resource requirements. With appropriate Risk Management Department resources, conduct project Risk Assessments including Identification of Risks, Risk Analysis and Risk Mitigation and Control. Identify and develop appropriate external business relationships as necessary and serve as the primary Credit Union liaison with such vendors during project execution. Build and maintain working relationships with project team members, vendors and other departments involved in projects. Communicate directly with vendors concerning project costs, staffing and scheduling. Lead and direct the work of others - at staff, management and senior management levels - who are participating in Project Teams. Lead all project activities, project schedules and resources, track project deliverables and milestones to meet project objective(s). Work with Executive Sponsors, Department Directors and Managers to validate project plans, evaluate the progress of projects and propose or enact appropriate changes / refinements, where appropriate and necessary to ensure that project objectives are met, and sound Project Management methods are being utilized. Lead the development of project teams and handle project logistics, including the preparation of meeting agendas, scheduling of team meetings, meeting space, conference calls, etc., delegating project tasks / deliverables to team members and preparing project team meeting minutes and performing appropriate follow-up. Monitor and summarize progress, and effectively communicate the status of projects, written and oral, to project team members, Departmental Management and Executive Management. Identify and ensure timely resolution of technical problems. Escalate issues and offer solutions where appropriate to Management. Manage the Procurement process for the project to include any necessary contract or agreement negotiation and review, liaising with appropriate compliance or legal counsel as necessary. Ensure all project phases are documented appropriately and maintain records of all relevant documentation related to each project, including but not limited to, recommendations, contracts/agreements, project plans, issue lists, meeting minutes, business requirements, design documents, service level objectives, payment schedules and invoices. Identify requirements for training of stakeholders, operational staff, Credit Union front-office staff and members. Facilitate required training to the extent that it is necessary to ensure success for projects undertaken. Lead final project implementation with appropriate staff and coordinate transfer of completed projects to applicable Operational Owners. Facilitate project closure reviews to determine opportunities to improve process for future initiatives. Support departments on recurring operational processes utilizing Project Management principles and methodologies Utilize extensive knowledge, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Successfully participate in annual Information Security refresher training. Comply with the Information Security Policy, including the immediate reporting of unusual or suspicious activity to management and the Information Security Officer. Follow all procedures to protect company computers from viruses, and to maintain the security and confidentiality of Credit Union data. Participate in annual Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) training and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the BSA and OFAC, including the immediate reporting of unusual or suspicious activity to the Risk Management Department. Undertake additional training specific to daily responsibilities and as required to ensure continued compliance with all applicable regulations. Ensure the Credit Union's safe harbor protections as allowed by the BSA. Understand that if confronted with knowledge of existence of a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), an obligation exists to preserve the confidentiality of that SAR, as well as any information that may reveal the existence of a SAR. --Maintain awareness of, and immediately report to the Compliance Officer, any unauthorized disclosure of a SAR, or unauthorized disclosure of information related to a SAR. Understand that failure to do so is a violation of federal law and may lead to both civil and criminal penalties for SAR disclosure violations. Demonstrate commitment to the Credit Union's Service PACT philosophy. Related duties as assigned by the Manager of Corporate Project Management. Requirements Minimum Qualifications or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: BA/BS degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience Active Project Management Professional-- (PMP) credential as certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI); equivalent project management certifications may be considered Three to five years of technology and/or financial services experience, highly desired Advanced Microsoft Office and database management experience Professional Qualifications: Ability to work independently and take appropriate initiative Ability to effectively influence others to deliver on commitments Ability to prioritize, multi-task and produce results, on time, in a fast-paced environment Ability to positively facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization Strong pro-active follow-up skills, along with extraordinary attention to detail Exceptional research and development skills Additional Leadership Qualifications: Highly developed meeting leadership skills Confident, highly effective oral and written communications skills Excellent interpersonal skills and creative problem-solving skills Strategic thinking and planning skills
