Our staff is more than 70% female The General Manager, Consumer have full P&L responsibility of Company's core consumer product/s. You will lead the autonomous and cross-functional teams responsible for consumer product development, customer acquisition, retention, growth, support and revenue. The GM will have full accountability and responsibility for all aspects of Company's global consumer business. The GM, Consumer focuses on growing the brand, creating demand, and driving revenue across direct-to-consumer channels. You will report directly to Company's CEO. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include establishing and meeting sales goals; P & L management; setting brand vision, market positioning and overall strategy and execution related to direct-to-consumer. Growth – Acquire, activate, retain, grow paying customers via direct-to-consumer channels. You will have carte blanche to build a team and leverage vendors within an established budget. Drive Go To Market Strategies – Develop and own all Marketing for direct-to-consumer. Design and execute rolling 18-month marketing plan tied to business plan. Evolve The Product/s - Own the mobile and web product roadmap for consumer. Includes creating key partnerships and integrations to drive revenue. Data & Analytics – Collaborate with internal and external partners to define the target consumer and develop metrics to evaluate our effectiveness in reaching that consumer. Use consumer research and business analysis to understand the competition, channel dynamics, consumer segmentation & positioning, product segmentation and sales performance. Provide CEO with executive level KPI reporting. Leadership – Build a great team. Leverage top vendors where needed. REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS: Strong understanding and experience in the consumer web and mobile products space. Track record and proven success in leading a growing a consumer product business. Strong business and financial acumen with strengths in areas critical to the category and knowledge of the market and consumer. Experience managing P&L for a product or line of business. Ability to develop strategic marketing plans (long and short-term) and to execute online go-to-market and customer acquisition strategies. Outstanding leadership skills. A leader with superior inspirational qualities who creates an atmosphere in which people work together enthusiastically and co-operatively to produce outstanding results and drives a passion to win. Ability to attract top talent and vendors. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Thinks consumer-first. Strong understanding of two-sided marketplaces. Comes with a "playbook" of execution strategies and resources for digital consumer customer acquisition and growth. A data-driven mindset and approach to decision making. Flexible and comfortable with a roll-up-your sleeves environment. A natural propensity to be hands-on. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: BA required. MBA is helpful but not mandatory. Experience running consumer web or mobile product / business lines. Previous experience running a marketplace product is a plus. Product management expertise. Consumer customer acquisition / growth expertise. 10+ years of relevant leadership experience in a fast-paced, product-oriented, consumer-driven company. Experience leading a team. Experience and success managing multi-million dollar budget and owning P&L accountability.
