Advisory practice specializes in helping commercial banks, consumer
finance companies, credit unions, mortgage banks, capital market
participants and insurance companies solve pressing business
issues. The group brings a mix of functional experts—including
CPAs, CFAs, CROs, CRCMs, FRMs, former regulators, financial
modelers, technologists, former bankers, and longtime
consultants—to address immediate risks and drive tangible benefits.
Berkeley Research Group’s (BRG) Financial Institution Advisory
practice provides strategic, analytical, and operational support to
commercial banks, consumer finance companies, credit unions,
mortgage banks, capital markets participants, and insurance
companies. The practice integrates the expertise of CPAs, CFAs,
CROs, CRCMs, FRMs, former regulators, financial modelers,
technologists, former bankers, and experienced consultants to help
clients address immediate risks and achieve measurable performance
improvements. The Managing or Senior Managing Consultant will
support and oversee engagement workstreams across a range of
financial, operational, and regulatory matters. The role requires
strong analytical capability, structured problem?solving, and the
ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and
client stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate initiative,
professionalism, and the ability to contribute to a fast?paced
advisory environment. Responsibilities Conduct business process
reviews and current?state assessments across financial and
operational functions. Develop structured roadmaps to enhance
operations, compliance, controls, and risk management. Support
clients with technology enablement, workflow optimization, and
dashboard/reporting development. Perform financial and accounting
reviews, including data validation, reconciliation, and quality
control. Design and execute statistical and financial analyses,
including modeling of financial data and markets. Prepare, refine,
and present client?ready deliverables to senior stakeholders.
Manage and mentor junior staff, ensuring quality and consistency
across workstreams. Conduct industry research and contribute to
business development and practice growth. Maintain and strengthen
client relationships through consistent communication and
high?quality work. AI, LLM, and Emerging Technology Capabilities
The practice is expanding its advisory offerings to incorporate
AI?enabled solutions. Candidates with experience in the following
areas will be strongly considered: Hands?on experience with AI
models such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or comparable tools.
Experience working with proprietary large language models (LLMs) or
contributing to the development of custom models. Has built
industry solutions that have been leveraged throughout firm or sold
to clients. Ability to translate complex AI/ML concepts into clear,
accessible explanations for non?technical audiences. Interest in
identifying opportunities to integrate AI into financial
operations, risk processes, or client deliverables. Willingness to
take ownership of new initiatives, pilots, and innovation?focused
workstreams. Additional Qualifications Several years of experience
with AI models including Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. Experience
working with proprietary LLMS or has built one. Good at explaining
complex concepts in ways their audience can understand. Strong work
ethic and willing to take the lead on new initiatives. Financial
services and blockchain/crypto experience a plus Strong
presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with
senior executives Demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts
for diverse audiences. Strong work ethic, ownership mindset, and
willingness to lead initiatives. Experience in financial services,
blockchain, or cryptocurrency is considered a plus. High degrees of
integrity, discretion, and commitment to quality. Ability to work
independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Consultant Salary Range: $100,000 – $160,000 Senior Managing
