Job Description:
The Talent Development Manager builds strong partnerships with
stakeholders throughout the company and works to improve
organizational effectiveness, facilitate learning and change, coach
high-performing employees, contribute to the success of Sage's
ongoing DEI efforts, and increase employee engagement. The person
in this position will suggest and support organizational
development initiatives and effective performance consulting for
both department and high-level, complex enterprise-wide projects
and initiatives. This will be accomplished through strategic vision
and goal development, needs assessment and diagnosis, role and
responsibility clarification, and design and implementation of
process and performance interventions. The Talent Development
Manager will advise on the planning and execution of learning and
development programs that support and align with business strategy.
The person in this position will work within the Global Talent
practice center, along with Talent colleagues across the globe, to
oversee the ongoing goal of cultivating the human capital of the
organization as a critical component in accomplishing business
goals.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Talent
Development* Partner with company leaders to identify development
needs, leadership development, performance improvement, and
organizational effectiveness resources, development programs, and
interventions.* Provide internal consulting advice and assistance
to company leaders and HR business partners on organizational
effectiveness issues and facilitate actions for performance
improvement or problem resolution.* Work with AVP, HR and OD and
global talent partners to develop and oversee the management of
performance management system, talent/succession planning process,
and career development system, incorporating key organizational
goals.* Develop relationships with company leadership with emphasis
on learning/understanding their individual and collective business
functions and priorities. Identifies, creates, anddevelops
recommendations that will address the needs and concerns of company
leadership.* Create effective communication plans for corporate
programs and processes; work with Corporate Comms department to
ensure messaging is approved and appropriate.* Define requirements
for design and implementation of learning processes and use
technology to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of learning
transfer and learning and development solutions.* Facilitate
training programs and meetings; conduct team-building workshops,
exercises, or programs to enhance the cohesiveness of teams. Design
and deliver multimedia curriculum.* Research and evaluate best
practices in the field of OD and leadership development and
integrate them where needed and feasible.* Operate as an internal
consultant to management/leadership in the identification,
development, and implementation of business processes.* In concert
with Corporate Comms, HR, and global talent partners, perform needs
assessment for learning and staff development to enhance the
effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and
objectives of the individual and organization.* Consult with
department managers on the organizational design of their
departments and designs and facilitates team development
interventions.* Evaluate business initiatives to determine the
appropriate organizational effectiveness interventions needed to
meet organizational goals; incorporates company values and
philosophies.* Conduct and coordinate research to develop
competency models for key jobs within the company.* Develop a
working knowledge of company products, services, programs, and core
skills to enable the creation and facilitation of effective
training and OD initiatives.* Confer with management to gain
knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better
understand changes in procedures and technologies and design
customized training to effect these changes.* Advise on the design,
delivery, and ongoing development of diversity, equity, and
inclusion initiatives; employee resource and affinity groups; and
all other opportunities to improve and enhance diversity, equity,
and inclusion.* Create, develop, and manage thorough project plans.
Manage projects to completion by deadline, with all stakeholders
informed along the project timeline.* When appropriate, facilitate
referral of performance management/employee issues to HR Business
Partners for employee relations intervention.Coaching* Serve as
internal coach, bringing measurable value to Sage/Corwin by
enhancing an individual's performance through coaching engagement.*
Perform coaching using a standardized and approved approach.* Track
coaching progress using the centralized and confidential
spreadsheet.* Work with individual contributors and managers to
achieve set goals that answer business needs.* Maintain strict
confidentiality with client, sharing information from coaching
sessions only with coaching program supervisor.* Meet every 3
months with coaching client and supervisor to hear supervisor give
progress report on goal improvement and ensure that supervisor
continues to support client improvement and performance
assessment.* Project a results-driven, personable, and creative
demeanor.* Continually assess effectiveness of coaching program and
suggest coaching program improvements.Learning* Work with L&D
Facilitator and global talent partners to evaluate effectiveness of
Sage Learn workshops to ensure they are aligned with key
performance objectives of Sage.* With the L&D Facilitator and
global talent partners, research learning programs that are "off
the shelf" (online or instructor led) that fit our organizational
developmental needs, and when appropriate, purchase programs and
become certified and qualified to teach those training programs.*
When needed, design and deliver high-quality instructor-led
training sessions for Sage staff to ensure essential skills, core
principals, and company vision are reinforced.* With global talent
partners, continually assess current training programs and make
recommendations to improve their effectiveness.* Coach Sage Learn
participants when appropriate to increase performance
effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAny combination equivalent to, but not
limited to, the following:* Minimum 5 years of OD/talent management
professional experience.* Minimum 5 years corporate coaching
experience. ICF accreditation at the PCC level required.* B.A.
degree preferred or equivalent; masters level education preferred.*
Experience in creating and analyzing data to measure learning
outcomes and learning transfer.* Prior experience in developing
training curriculum.* Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite
of products.* Excellent presentation and classroom training
skills.* This position requires a perceptive person, who is capable
of developing and maintaining positive relationships with
individuals at all levels within the organization as well as with
external resources and applicants. The individual must be sensitive
to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and public image.*
Individual serves as a company ambassador for Sage. High level of
professionalism, emotional intelligence, and business
sophistication needed.* Incumbent must possess solid written and
verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal capabilities,
and strong presentation experience.* Demonstrated mentoring
abilities and superior customer service skills.* Well-honed
problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.* High proficiency
in Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint and

Sage is influenced by several factors, including but not limited to
skill set, nature and level of experience, qualifications, and
other relevant considerations.We anticipate the minimum full-time
salary range for this position to be between $95,000.00 -
$115,000.00. Please note that the compensation details listed in
U.S. role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include
bonuses or benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the
specific salary range and additional aspects of the
compensation/benefits package for this position during the hiring
