What does this position do?
TheController/Director of Finance position works with the Chief of Operations to oversee the financial operations of our growing business!
Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Oversees the entire bookkeeping & finance function of the organization, including managing a team of in-house and outsourced bookkeeping, A/R and A/P staff
  
• Responsible for day-to-day higher-level complex bookkeeping and accounting tasks
  
• Creates workflows and best practice processes to handle high volumes of cash and credit card sales transactions
  
• Ensures proper maintenance of the accounting functions in Netsuite, Squishable's ERP system
  
• Reports sales & use tax to multiple jurisdictions
  
• Manage the data flow between numerous payment processing systems, including Square, Stripe, CyberSource, and Paymentech and Netsuite
  
• Prepares and communicates of monthly and annual financial statements
  
• Oversees cash flow planning and ensures availability of funds as needed
  
• Oversees financing strategies/activities and banking relationships
  
• Assesses existing operations for opportunities to automate processes, presents to firm leadership compelling ROI analyses to support proposed automation efforts, and oversees projects to successful implementation
  
• Ensures maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
  
• Ensures legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
  
• Other financial duties as determined by the needs of the organization

  • 
    
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Management, or a related field
    
  • Demonstrates strong communication (verbal and written) skills and is able to positively influence behaviors and outcomes
    
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a work ethic based upon a strong desire to exceed expectations
    
  • Experience managing and leading a direct team
    
  • At least three years experience managing a financial function using Netsuite or similar GAAP-certified accounting software
    
    Other nice to haves:
    
    • 
      
    • Previous experience with multi-store brick & mortar retail and B2B/wholesale trade preferred
      
    • Strong analytical skills for detailed account reconciliations
      
    • Comfort with ambiguity and creative problem-solving
      
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      
      This pay for this position is between $110,000 - $130,000.
