Job Description:
Nesco Resource is a leading staffing agency dating back to the
1950's. We specialize in temporary and direct-hire positions in the
fields of: IT, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Accounting
and Administrative. We are currently partnering with a global
engineering firm in their pursuit to hire a Physical Engineer SME
Subject Matter ExpertThe primary responsibility of this position is
to meticulously assess security design documentation related to
infrastructure renovations and identify, and evaluate risks
associated with security vulnerabilities. The position will
validate the inclusion of all requisite physical security standards
within these designs and to ensure that the designs are in full
compliance with these standards. This position will also be
responsible for conducting a range of assessments and/or risk
management activities to help inform security projects and programs
aimed at reducing risk to Client and enhancing the Corporation's
security posture. The data from these activities will be used to
inform infrastructure protection (video surveillance, access
control, perimeter protection, etc.), planning, training, public
awareness, assessments, audits, and operational activities at
Client.The Physical Security SME must demonstrate expertise and
relevant experience in the following areas:Security Design
ReviewsCriticality Assessments/AuditsRisk Assessments/Audits
(asset-specific)Threat Assessments/AuditsVulnerability
Assessments/AuditsCrime Prevention Through Environmental Design
(CPTED) Assessments/AuditsClient Corporate Security4Security

security designs developed by internal and external sources for
compliance with CS Facility Security Design StandardReview
engineering drawings, specifications, and technical
documentsPerform security assessments/audits in accordance with the
Corporate Security Infrastructure Protection StrategyPerform visual
inspections of an asset to evaluate and capture all security
countermeasures in placeIdentify and evaluate the risks associated
with security vulnerabilities and work across the organization to
establish mitigation plansEnsures Corporate Security Policies and
Standards are followed and adhered toMust complete assignments with
minimal supervisionMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a
relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience with physical
security technologies and concepts in corporate security
rolesMinimum of Eights (5) years of related experiencePhysical
Security Professional (PSP) certificationConstruction Knowledge:
Familiarity with construction terminology, blueprints, and
construction processes to effectively interpret construction
documentation.A deep understanding of security principles and
concepts, including threat assessment, risk management, and
security standardsProficiency in physical security systems,
including access control systems, vehicle barriers, intrusion
detection, and lightingFamiliarity with construction terminology,
blueprints, and construction processes to effectively interpret
construction documentationPrevious experience in identifying
security vulnerabilities and developing risk reducing
mitigationsPreferred QualificationsVisio / CAD / Bluebeam
experiencePrior experience in security engineering, especially
involving the design and implementation of security hardware5+
years' experience developing and reviewing physical security
designs.5+ years' experience conducting security assessments and
audits.Experience working on construction projects, either in a
security-related role or closely with construction teamsExperience
within the transportation sectorUnderstanding of the threat
vulnerability risk assessment (TVRA) process.Nesco Resource
