Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Director of Operations (IWS9) to join our team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will serve as the principal assistant to the NAVSEA IWS 9 Program Office's MPM/DPM, which supports modernization efforts of US Navy surface ships. Minimum Requirements for the role include but are not limited to:

• (Requirement) 10 to 15 years of relevant Navy related experience (combination of serving onboard Naval combatant ships and/or NAVSEA program office experience)
• (Requirement) Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.
• (Requirement) Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical fieldPreferred Qualifications for the role include but are not limited to:
  • Experience in Leadership and Technical roles onboard US Navy AEGIS Destroyers/Cruisers
  • Experience related to the identification and analysis of complex systems engineering issues involving New Construction and modernization efforts for US Navy surface ships.
  • Background in writing high level technical briefs and white papers evaluating Navy combat systems.
  • Experience with combatant combat system software and hardware management and employment.
  • Familiarity with DoD/DON Policies and Procedures related to systems engineering processes and acquisition and modernization of Navy combat systems.
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, and U.S. Navy Combat Systems and Naval Operations.
  • Assist with managing the MPM/DMPMs meeting schedule and ability to represent him/her at meetings.
  • Assist senior leadership in planning of program resources (funding, personnel, etc.) for ship combat systems modernization
  • Experience with briefing senior Naval personnel
  • Ability to track, process, produce and distribute deliverables and monitor comment status, collect, and analyze performance data.
  • Participate in program management reviews and prepare and coordinate inputs for acquisition documentation, status reports, briefings and information inquiries.
