Job Description:
Building and Strengthening America's Infrastructure Aldridge is
seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic and
energetic team. This role will work collaboratively with the
project team -to ensure that a quality project is produced safely,
on time, and within budget. What you'll do:
- Pre-job planning
- Procuring material and tools -
- Contract compliance
- Expedite, negotiate, and approve internal charges and issues as
well as external contract changes and issues
- Identify and track items by pay category, cost codes and cost
types
- For all assigned projects maintain accurate, current, and
complete records
- Accurate management of subcontractors and subcontract progress
including work completed, payment and changes in subcontract
values
- Promote safe jobsites and work closely with the Safety
Department to ensure that all safety issues are properly
addressed
- Expeditiously and reasonably resolve all internal team issues
and conflicts as well as all external client concerns and
issues
- Without delay inform and request assistance from the SPM to
resolve all internal and external conflicts that resist expeditious
and reasonable settlement
- As assigned, mentor and train project management candidates and
Field Engineers
- Possible travel Who you are: We are pursuing entry-level
candidates with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering,
Business Management, other related major, or equivalent
construction/Union trade background
- Internships or other relevant work experience
- Strong work ethic -
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills -
- Ability to prioritize and manage time -
- Computer software proficiency - (Microsoft Office, Adobe,
Procore, etc.)
- Background in utility type of work is a bonus - not a
requirement
- Management experience is a bonus - not a requirement Who we
