Job Description:

Building and Strengthening America's Infrastructure Aldridge is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role will work collaboratively with the project team -to ensure that a quality project is produced safely, on time, and within budget. What you'll do:

  • Pre-job planning
  • Procuring material and tools -
  • Contract compliance
  • Expedite, negotiate, and approve internal charges and issues as well as external contract changes and issues
  • Identify and track items by pay category, cost codes and cost types
  • For all assigned projects maintain accurate, current, and complete records
  • Accurate management of subcontractors and subcontract progress including work completed, payment and changes in subcontract values
  • Promote safe jobsites and work closely with the Safety Department to ensure that all safety issues are properly addressed
  • Expeditiously and reasonably resolve all internal team issues and conflicts as well as all external client concerns and issues
  • Without delay inform and request assistance from the SPM to resolve all internal and external conflicts that resist expeditious and reasonable settlement
  • As assigned, mentor and train project management candidates and Field Engineers
  • Possible travel Who you are: We are pursuing entry-level candidates with the following qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, other related major, or equivalent construction/Union trade background
    • Internships or other relevant work experience
    • Strong work ethic -
    • Problem solving and critical thinking skills -
    • Ability to prioritize and manage time -
    • Computer software proficiency - (Microsoft Office, Adobe, Procore, etc.)
    • Background in utility type of work is a bonus - not a requirement
