For more information, visit Worley.com Worley have an existing opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to support our Resources and Energy teams. - The successful individual will play a material role in driving the operations, commercial and strategic outcomes across all projects within the group. The objective is to ensure Worley's Commercial Business Process is adhered to and commercial matters on proposals/projects are managed in collaboration with other functional groups. What you'll do:

  • Commercial reviews and negotiations of contracts and other project documents across our broad range of projects and clients,
  • Monitoring key contract risks and delivering contract administration rigor into our project management approach,
  • Work with Worley's in-house legal team on contract reviews to make sound commercial decisions on contractual risk,
  • Assist in resolving commercial issues and linking with our project performance team to ensure we maximise commercial outcomes on our projects and align with the financial strategy of the business.
  • Monitoring key business risks and driving operational rigor into our project management approach, and
  • Drive, champion, and report on business performance in delivering consistently high quality of service for clients in all aspects of service delivery. -About you:
    • D egree or Masters level qualification(s) in Business Administration, Contract / Construction Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or associated discipline;
    • Professional membership;
    • Extensive experience in major capital resource project-based environments;
    • Strong base of formal contract administration and / or contract legal experience;
    • Negotiating qualification and strong lead negotiation experience;
    • Financial and numerical acumen to facilitate the understanding and interpretation of the P&L, project performance and ensuring their accuracy
    • Work with project and proposal managers to manage opportunity and risk across the range of projects;
    • Must have strong stakeholder and communication skills to engage and work with executive leadership team
    • Must be able to provide clear and informed commercial positions and recommendations
    • Must be able to provide commercial leadership and training to the Project delivery teams
    • Ability to understand and effectively communicate contractual principles and clauses to project managers, proposal managers and broader businesses leaders and to support those individuals in managing contractual discussions with clients;
    • Sound time management and organisational skills, confident prioritising workload and managing competing deadlines;
