Atlantic Coast Mortgage, LLC ("ACM") is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic professional to serve as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO serves as a key member of the company's leadership team, and is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. - -The CFO will work closely with the Executive Team at ACM's headquarters, located in Fairfax, Virginia. -Remote candidates will not be considered. -About the Position: -The CFO must have at least 10 years of experience in a senior accounting/finance position at an independent mortgage bank and must be highly organized and detail oriented. - The CFO must have excellent communication skills and the ability to distill complicated data into clear, cogent, actionable guidance. The CFO must have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong financial analysis skills, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet internal deadlines. -Job Duties and Essential Functions:

Maintain daily reconciliations of mortgage-related general ledger accounts.Assist in month-end reconciliations and month-end close.Manage accounting staff and lead accounting department.Coordinate activities in the preparation of periodic audits by internal and external entities.Ensure that record systems and procedures are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.Prepare monthly and quarterly company unaudited financials.Prepare reports, models, and forecasts for Executive Team.Create a strong working relationship with the Capital Markets team.Responsible for complying with all warehouse bank and investor requirements and obtaining all certifications and re-certifications.Identify cost-saving opportunities, operational inefficiencies, and growth opportunities and communicate findings in clear, cogent reports and presentations to the Executive Team.Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting 15+ years of accounting experienceWorking knowledge of GAAPCPA license (preferred not required)10+ years of senior mortgage accounting experience Strong drive and initiative coupled with the ability to handle multiple tasks successfullyStrong analytical skillsExcellent oral and written (including prose, spreadsheets, and graphical presentations) communication skillsAbout ACM: - ACM is a rapidly growing residential mortgage lender headquartered in Fairfax, VA. - It was started in 2011 and now operates in 27 states. - In addition to its organic growth, ACM is seeking to expand via strategic acquisitions.
