  Motivate is looking for an energized, experiencedSenior Operations Manager for Bike Fleet Operations for Washington DC's bikeshare system. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in making Washington DC's bike sharing system a best-in-class operation, ensuring excellence in DC's favorite ride.
  About the Role
  As Senior Operations Manager, you will directly support the Regional General Manager in overseeing all aspects of assembly, maintenance, inspection, and repair of the bike fleet, demonstrating success in engaging work teams, and developing leaders within your operation. You will manage the day-to-day bike repair operations to ensure the success of the department. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with a proven track record of analyzing complex data and implementing solutions based on the data to impact business results.
  • Oversee a large team of bike mechanics and people leaders ensuring that they are engaged and aligned to meet bike inspection and repair goals
  • Coordinate large scale training evolutions to enforce standardization of repairs
  • Ensure that bikes are returned to operation in good condition as quickly as possible
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and utilization of failure and repair data to optimize fleet reliability and cost-efficiency; maintain and enhance quality control procedures
  • Develop, implement, and improve systems, processes, and procedures to effectively triage bike repairs in order to maximize shop throughput and take advantage of different mechanic skill levels and capacities
  • Manage an inventory system for bike parts to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner for bike fleet production About You
    • You are an experienced manager who leads by example and understands how to best motivate and encourage your team, while completing all managerial and supervisory activities
    • You are an operations expert, with demonstrated experience successfully overseeing large warehouse-based operations and a background in operations management, supply chain, logistics, transportation, or related field
    • You are a self-starter, with the ability to multi-task, follow-through, think critically, and apply analytical problem solving with a high degree of judgment
    • You are a team player who is able to work cross-functionally across departments
    • You have strong written and verbal communication skills with a wide range of audiences
    • You are proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Slack, Tableau, and other data visualization, planning & communications software applications
