Description: About SIR:The Society of Interventional Radiology
(SIR) is a thriving professional medical society dedicated to
optimizing patient care and improving lives through minimally

interventional radiology physicians, trainees, medical students,

annual revenues of $10 million, and assets of nearly $17
million.Position Summary:SIR is seeking a meeting industry
professional to serve as the Annual Meeting Program Manager. This
position requires a track record of successful planning and
execution of educational content for scientific or medical
meetings. The preferred candidate will have strong project
management skills and superior relationship building skills to
support collaboration with the volunteer program committee
(physician members) and internal staff. This is a highly visible

members!Requirements:Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesAs a
key contributor to a successful annual meeting, the Annual Meeting
Program Manager:Manages the annual meeting scientific abstract
process (Cadmium); 1600+ submissions, coordinating the blinded,
peer review and notification process.Manages the educational
proposal submission process (Cadmium); 200+ submissions,
coordinating the review process through the Educational department
and the Annual Meeting Committee. Responsible for managing and
implementing the development of all curricular content and planning
materials for the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting. Manages all
speaker communications and presentation logistics, resulting in a
seamless run of show before, during and after the conference.
Provides exceptional customer service to all faculty, -500 speakers
and -400 presenting authors.Creates session schedule based on room
logistics and content distribution across the meeting. Determines
potential scheduling and content conflicts and works to alleviate
these issues. Secondary Functions and ResponsibilitiesProvides
on-site support to Faculty at the annual meeting.Manages the
efforts of the physician-led Annual Meeting Program Committee,
including the preparation and dissemination of bi-weekly conference
call agendas and supporting materials for committees and staff.
Manages and oversees the data integrity of faculty information
within the Society AMS and various annual meeting databases.Works
cross-functionally with internal SIR teams to ensure that all teams
work cohesively to ensure a successful meeting. These activities
may include; marketing, JVIR Annual Meeting publication and SIR
Foundation awards.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong
organization/prioritization skills and ability to coordinate a high
volume of details and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
with minimal supervision.Ability to appropriately interact at
various levels, from junior staff through senior management, within
the organization, and as well with physician volunteers and
multiple vendors in a member-service environment.Strong oral and
written communication skills.Brings agility and creativity to
respond to a rapidly changing meeting environment.Knowledge of
Microsoft Office Suite, association databases, and web applications
is preferred.Must be willing and able to travel ten days a year to
meetings and other activities related to the position.Ability to
work outside regularly scheduled office hours.Education: 4-year
college degree or equivalent experience in meeting planning and/or
adult education. Experience:3-5 years direct experience in
scientific meeting management with a membership association with a
preference for scientific program abstract managementProject
management experience required.CMS/LMS/AMS knowledge a plus, with
Cadmium preferredVirtual/online meeting experience a plus.CMP
and/or DES certification a plus. Working Conditions and Physical
Requirements: This position is 100% remote. Use of phones and
computers for extended periods. Utilize equipment and communication
technologies for conference calls and teleconference
meetings/webinars. Requires mobility to move and travel away from
the remote setting. Ability to lift 25 pounds. Frequent interaction
with internal staff and physician members via phone, in person,
email, and other mediums. Special note regarding COVID-19: SIR
employees are currently working in a hybrid or remote fashion and
will have the ability to continue to work with a flexible
arrangement based on business needs. This position description
