Posting DetailsI. JOB OVERVIEW Job Description Summary: The
Office of the Associate Dean for Research Workforce Development is
responsible for the research and professional development of
Faculty, Students, Postdoctoral Fellows, Scholars, and Medical
Fellows at the George Washington School of Medicine & Health
Sciences.This senior level position focuses on providing research
program management and support.. This position makes
recommendations to policy and procedures, and has authority to
implement change. This position serves as the primary liaison
partnering with students as well as Principal Investigators, and
manages day-to-day operations through event planning,
communications, student and faculty programming and administrative
contributions to ensure research success.Reporting to the Associate
Dean for Research Workforce Development, this incumbent plays a
dynamic role in executing activities and special projects initiated
by the Dean(s). These activities are to enhance, and improve in the
School of Medicine's Undergraduate Summer research programs,
Graduate Research programs, Postdoctoral Research programs,
Clinician Investigator programs and Faculty Research initiatives.
Responsible for managing internal training databases, reporting,
and briefing Leaders about their research initiatives and to help
create collaborative partnerships across GW.Job Duties:Manage the
undergraduate summer research program.Update, maintain, and provide
reports from relational training database.Schedule, facilitate, and
archive monthly programming series for clinical
investigators.Assist with training for grant applications.Plan,
implement, and execute training programs including research
education events and workshopsPerforms other related duties as
assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the
supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the
position. Minimum Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold a
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5
years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master's degree or
higher in a relevant area of study plus 3 years of relevant
professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date
of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an
equivalent combination of education, training and
