As a member of our team, you will have the chance to work with customers that are both Government and industry leaders and technology innovators.We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Events Manager to support our government client in the national defense sector. The Events Manager will be part of our high-performing Change Management and Communications team charged with advancing CIO projects, initiatives, and change efforts by providing anticipatory change management and communications services.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, organize, and execute events, such as organizational town halls, conferences, virtual meetings, and hybrid events
  • Meeting support may include identifying topics, handling event logistics, coordinating presentation materials, marketing the event internally, and drafting event summaries/post-event materials for distribution
  • Serve as the event liaison and work closely with government stakeholders, speakers, and others on in-person, virtual, and hybrid events
  • Apply functional and general industry knowledge to help government stakeholders strategize and plan events that meet their objectives
  • Document and manage internal processes, best practices, and related information
  • Support senior executives and other leaders on external media engagements, such as interviews with industry media outlets
  • Develop, provide, and/or guide senior executives and other leaders on public speaking and media training for effective and exceptional engagement
  • Coordinate graphic, design, and event materials, to include infographics, videography, photography, slick sheets, exhibits, posters, and name badges
  • Analyze the effectiveness of communications and events to recommend changes or improvements.
  • Provide executive communications support, such as assisting with the preparation of speaker notes, speeches, and talking points
  • Support, coordinate, brief, and execute internal and external communications (written and verbal) to multiple stakeholders and customers
  • Establish priorities, deadlines, and strategies, and deliver high quality products on time in a high-paced environment
  • Incorporate organization branding standards in all products and align to established templates and style guides.
  • Develop and cultivate cross-functional relationships with teams across the organization and with external partners
  • Promote a culture of high performance, collaboration, and positive team dynamicsRequired Qualifications:
    • Demonstrable experience with event, conference, and/or meeting management (ideally both in-person and virtual events)
    • Solid understanding of event planning best practices and methodologies
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Strong project management skills, organization, attention to detail, ability to work autonomously and excel in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levelsDesired Qualifications:
      • Experience in executive training or coaching
      • Practical knowledge of government and business protocol, including foreign and military protocols and cultural considerations
      • Experience with executive writing, brand development, marketing, digital communications, or similar

          • Requires a bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of experience in management consulting or change management. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent training may be substituted for a degree.
