The service lines within include class certification, damages analysis, economic regulation, intellectual property, antitrust and competition policy, labor & employment, forensic accounting, business insurance claims and data analysis, often but not always in the context of high stakes litigation involving reports and testimony from our experts who are leaders in their fields.Preferred Locations: Chicago or DCThe RoleAs we equip the firm for its next phase of growth, we are seeking to recruit a self-driven, strategic thinking yet hands-on and confident marketing lead to join the E&D leadership team and integrate with BRGs firmwide marketing function to drive the Communitys ambitious growth program. While dedicated to the E&D Community, the role will collaborate with senior peers in the firms other three communities (Corporate Finance, Healthcare and Global) and contribute significantly to the evolution of our firmwide brand.The individual who will have considerable experience in professional services marketing and business development, ideally in the economic and financial consulting field will be responsible for further developing the profile and go-to-market strategy of the E&D business. This activity will focus on brand strategy and profile, balance with an intense focus on assisting individuals or groups of experts to develop their own business and to analyze and penetrate new and existing markets. A typical day in this role could include working with an individual expert in an existing line of business to sharpen their personal brand followed by strategic work in priority market areas, including cryptocurrency, cybersecurity and the energy transition and ESG as examples. They will be ultimately responsible for ensuring best-in-class organization and execution of marketing assets and channels across the full mix, from web content and social media to collateral and events and sponsorship.The role and its setting will appeal most to individuals who are happy in the often hectic, relatively unstructured environment of a firm that is diverse, fast-moving and growing rapidly. The individual will be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders, peers and other colleagues based across the US and internationally.Works withAt least one E&D Community marketing team member (direct report to this role);MDs and Directors across the E&D Community;Other Marketing and BD teams based across the firm;External design, print, PR and brand agencies;Third party organizations and partners;MDs in relevant priority practice areas in other Communities;Clients and partners to collaborate on marketing and BD initiatives;Clients and prospects in generating new business opportunities/introductions to our experts;New role created to develop and execute high impact marketing strategy for one of the firms key communities;Broad and varied role with responsibility across the full strategy, marketing and BD support mix;ResponsibilitiesWorking with Community Leaders and Strategic Marketing Director to develop and deliver an overall E&D marketing plan;Developing, improving and maintaining service/industry line marketing collateral/brochure ware;Supporting the business in the preparation of high value pitches and proposals, presentations, templates, and practice specific case studies, and thought leadership;Identifying, planning and coordinating sponsorships and events with suppliers and internal stakeholders;Planning and managing BRG client-focused events;Planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns on priority themes;Developing and maintaining relevant website content;Creating social media content and campaigns;Contributing to and drawing from - the cross-firm Client Development Initiative (a law firm-focused key account management program);Analysis of opportunities, proposals and converted sales to identify key clients, trends and opportunities for improving revenue generation;Managing client data and working with central marketing function to improve use of our CRM platform (InterAction) in the E&D Community;Conducting research as necessary on competitors, target clients, industry themes and trends to inform ongoing Marketing plans and approaches;Ongoing tracking and reporting of return on marketing, event and sponsorship investment and re-evaluation of marketing plan;Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Marketing or any related Business Degree; and Minimum 10 years of experience in a professional services firm or similar industry.About BRGBerkeley Research Group, LLC (BRG) is a global consulting firm that performs complex quantitative analyses for clients in three key engagement areas: litigation, disputes and investigations, corporate finance, and performance improvement and advisory.Recognized by Forbes as one of Americas Best Management Consulting Firms, we have in-depth experience across a wide range of industries and markets, from construction and energy to technology and healthcare.
