Responsibilities

We are seeking a Strategic Management Senior Consultant to join our public sector financial services team to help our client create a 3-5 strategic plan for their vision. Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing prioritized strategic plans of various sized scope to include division and subdivision components
  • Assessing investment portfolios and planned projects and activities to determine if they support division's mission
  • Identifying integration points (e.g., gives and gets) of people, process and technologies
  • Develop and maintain key strategic management artifacts, processes and methods (including communication plans, stakeholder analyses, project plans, delivery schedules, project charters, program control plans, etc.)
  • Develop strategic planning methodology to support overall goals and objectives of division
  • Interacting with federal client counterparts in an organized and knowledgeable manner, and building solid relationships with clients
  • Leading client strategy sessions, developing short and long term roadmaps to track client priorities
  • Acting in a consultative manner, proactively offering recommendations and value-added advice to achieve strategic objectives in the most effective and cost-efficient manner
  • Structuring approaches to solving discrete problems, delivering clear requests for information, and demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks
  • Conveying ideas clearly in an oral and written manner, both one-on-one and in small groups
  • Developing high-quality reports
    Qualifications

    Required:
    • Minimum Years of Experience: 3+ years of experience working on projects in a large organization in both the public and private sectors, with special focus in strategic management activities and investment portfolios
    • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
    • Experience supporting and leading the analysis of organizational functions, documenting findings, and recommending improvements
    • Ability to analyze complex issues within a business area and provide alternative solutions
    • Comfortable communicating and engaging with internal and external business stakeholders at all levels of the organization to gather information and provide status
    • Experience planning for and facilitating stakeholder sessions
    • Experience interacting and working with operational groups across the organization
    • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to assist client personnel and staff in short and long term planning efforts, team planning discussions, prioritization and assisting in daily standups
    • Ability to identify and address client needs and deliver quality results in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
    • Exudes professionalism, is flexible, and has a positive attitude.
    • Industry standard project management certification(s) (PMP, CSM)
