Job Description:

WHAT YOU'LL DOAs a Marketing Lead/Assistant Manager within BCG's TMT Practice Area (PA), you will help plan and drive the PA agenda across the full suite external marketing and internal marketing activities. You will own our internal communication activities and channels, in close collaboration with the Marketing Manager, the PA leadership team and the global / local marketing teams. You will start acting as a sparring partner to leadership. You will help develop a clear competitive intelligence and positioning effort for our PA. You will contribute to the creation of the annual marketing plan and own the organization of select conferences, events and partnerships and content.YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Developing a business marketing strategy; defining and managing a best-in-class suite of marketing materials and activities that support client teams in building and strengthening client relationships
  • Developing and managing innovative and engaging internal communication activities and platforms with a fast-paced turnaround
  • Partnering with author teams and editors on key IP to generate and refine impactful content tailored to the audience, medium and channel
  • Overseeing online and social strategies and crafting and managing social media efforts (e.g. LinkedIn, Medium) for PA leadership
  • Creating strong written outputs that are at "plug-and-play" level, with a strong sense for relevance and required tone, a clear structure, impactful messages and professional, visually appealing layout
  • Analyzing data to deliver insights and assessing performance of activities against KPIs for dissemination to leadership
  • Making independent decisions within existing guidelines around marketing / comms activities preparation
  • Leading and coaching more junior team members or internsYOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
    • Experience in, or demonstrable passion for, the fast-moving TMT space
    • 6-8 years of relevant exp; Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
    • Excellent writing and editing skills - experience in PR, Journalism, copy-writing, internal communications or similar highly relevant
    • Experience in online/social channels - able to strategize and execute for success
    • Comfortable with ambiguity - able to resolve diverse problems
    • High degree of professionalism, strong work ethic, service-orientation and drive
    • Excellent execution/ organizational/ communication skills across a high volume of complex projects and stakeholders - - ability to manage segment of work or sub-functional team independently
    • Ability to work flexibly as part of a global team and build strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues in other PAs and adjacent BCG functions to establish best practices and learn from each other
    • Openness to feedback from key stakeholders (and acting on it as needed)
    • Ability to perform under pressure and demonstrate presence and maturity when interacting with senior stakeholders, even in stressful situations
    • Proven analytics - leverage data for insights, ROMI and to shape approaches
    • Strong verbal communication skills
    • Advanced proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and ExcelYOU'LL WORK WITHYou will work closely with the TMT PA Leadership and Management team including our Global PA Leader, Marketing Leader, GPMD and report into the Global Marketing Manager . In addition you will be a core member of the wider TMT PA Management team, You will also collaborate closely with the GPMD, Marketing Senior Coordinator, Regional / Sector Managers, Finance and Marketing within the PA, as well as other relevant functions - Staffing, Recruiting, HR etc.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONBCG's TMT Practice works with leading companies in industries such as consumer tech, software, media and telecommunications to make sense of the changes transforming their industries, define winning business models suited to the new competitive environment, and implement those models in ways that create competitive advantage
