We are currently seeking a---Program Manager---to join our growing organization and help drive our USAID strategic risk management programs to success in---Washington,---DC!

As part of USAID's Global Health Supply Chain (GHSC) program, the Next Generation Global Health Supply Chain Suite of Programs (NextGen) Strategic Risk Management program aims to strengthen systems and provide operational support to ensure sustainable access to safe, effective, quality-assured, affordable health commodities.

***This will be in support of a proposal effort - contingent offers will be extended***

Specific responsibilities include but not limited to :

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance monitoring and safeguarding against risks to USAID-funded supply chains for health products, including identifying and mitigating recurring and locationally-specific risks of fraud, loss and delayed transportation and extended stock-outs
  • Support research and understanding of health supply chain programs in international development and the strategic risks to which they are subject
  • Confer with Government management staff to discuss contract related specifications or procedures
  • Present and explain presentations, reports, and findings to clients
  • Consult and negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications
  • Assess contractor operations by analyzing technology, resource needs, and demand
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning of all contract support activities
  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ensure the highest possible quality of delivery and devise strategies for increased program delivery and quality programming
  • Have solid organizational skills including attention to details and multi-tasking skills
  • Act as a liaison between contractor and client.
  • Participates in special projects as required
  • Demonstrate skill adapting to changing policy landscapes (desired)

    Required Skills And Qualifications
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience designing, implementing, and/or managing supply chain programs or projects in the health sector, with at least two years' experience supporting supply chain programs or projects in international or resource challenged settings in the USAID context.
    • Professional experience supporting large, complex projects.
    • Must have managed programs valued at least $50M
    • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
    • Strong organizational, communication, writing and analytical skills to effectively interact with USAID stakeholders
    • Must be capable of leading projects that involve the successful management of multi-functional teams and multiple tasks.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and concurrent time-sensitive reviews
    • Ability to establish and foster effective client and team relationships

      Education / Certifications
      • Master's Degree in Public Health, MBA, Logistics, Transportation, International Health, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, etc.
      • Preferably a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or recognized supply chain professional body and/or Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management
      • PMP (preferred)

        Clearance Requirements
        • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance
