Edelman has an opportunity for a--Vice President--to join our talented and award-winning digital health team in DC. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape--health--policy--and public affairs--campaigns, help--biopharmaceutical--brands--navigate some of their most challenging problems and advise clients on communications and marketing programs.-- Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence--
  • Play major role in creation of--digital/social--communications plans and goals; manage against them--
  • Serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate; address client issues thoughtfully and effectively--
  • Consistently produce high quality internal and external communications content--
  • Build relationships with--internal--specialists--(paid media, content, creative, planning, analytics,--etc.)--and--senior stakeholders--to meet client needs--
  • Demonstrate tactical proficiency in--digital/social--advertising, including--developing plans and working with--creative and--paid media specialists to execute--and optimize--complex campaigns--
  • Mine available digital data (client, third-party, syndicated) for actionable insights and business intelligence and know how to strategically leverage clients' data ecosystems (e.g.,--CRM/first-party data)--
  • Expert in latest digital platforms and best practices to translate content strategies effectively within the digital ecosystem and make certain that creative is designed to perform--
  • Fluent in available measurement tools and methodologies to ensure programs are tied to performance metrics--
  • Knows when and how to most effectively facilitate engagement of Digital specialty practices (e.g., Research, Performance Marketing, Tech, Influencer)--
  • Supervise staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable and conducting their reviews--
  • Contribute to business growth through--introducing clients to new capabilities, building network of industry contacts and participating in relevant professional organizations--
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals--
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman's values and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct-- Basic Qualifications:
    • The account supervisor must have--at least--8-10--years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing.
    • This candidate must exhibit--a--broad understanding of digital--marketing/communications for health brands,--corporate communications--and public affairs, the latest trends and changes in digital as well as government policies regulating the health care industry.--
    • The candidate should have experience working with pharmaceutical companies and possess familiarity navigating medical, legal, and regulatory review processes.-- Preferred Qualifications:
      • The--Vice President of Digital Health--should have a bachelor's degree in a related field, a proven ability to manage large projects (including budgets) and small teams simultaneously, function as a daily client contact, as well as develop and execute plans to meet client goals.
      • S/he should have--an--ability to delegate and accurately judge and edit the work of others.
