Job Description:

If so, apply to join Freddie Mac's Customer Education Services department as a manager of several instructional designers / technical writers / trainers supporting all areas of the Mortgage Loan process. This position is involved in Freddie Mac's Modern Delivery process as well. Your Work Falls into Three Primary Categories: People Management Able to coach and mentor 7-11 direct reports Accountable for client learning portfolio across a sub-line of business (i.e. servicing, sell & deliver, technology tools) Manage the end-to-end development of training curriculum for Freddie Mac applications, projects and policies Create, communicate and manage project plans. Establish work objectives and tactics based on these plans and execute through delegation to staff members Ensure instructional design principles and industry standards and specifications are adhered to in all phases of design Proven ability to lead a team of instructional designers and instructors. Skills to develop and execute holistic education strategies supporting business and marketing goals Relationship management skills to enable collaboration with both internal and external business partners Project management skills required to lead multiple complex projects. Integrates training plans with other related work streams in a project environment Lead assigned staff by assigning and monitoring work performance Strategy Provide appropriate level of consultation within the organization to understand client learning needs and/or gaps for assigned initiatives and develop learning strategies to meet client needs across all client segments, in support of Freddie Mac business goals Partner with management, sales, policy and other business areas to determine the goals and objectives of learning priorities, and design recommendations and plans for training deliverables using training industry best practices Adhere to and champion Agile methodologies when representing Customer Education Services as part of a Modern Delivery project team Work with management, sales, and other business units to identify customer needs, solicit feedback on training plans, and develop positioning Best Practice Research and Implementation Keep abreast of best-in-class and current trends in training and development and make recommendations to improve or better align our tools and offerings Leverage learning industry trends to foster greater efficiency and deliver innovation and positive learning experiences In-depth knowledge of Instructional Design principles and best practices, and a solid understanding of when and how to apply them to creating various learning solutions (including instructor-led/online courses, job aids, online help and procedures). Qualifications Qualifications 8-10 years of relevant experience Must have 4-6 years of solid people management experience, including hiring, coaching and performance management Bachelor's or Master's degree Strong verbal and written communications skills Ability to positively influence outcomes in sensitive situations and negotiate deliverables, build and maintain positive relationships with business partners, organize and accurately prioritize work, and problem-solve Detail-oriented Ability to understand when urgency is (and is not) required Key to success in this role Experience with applying Adult Learning Methodologies Experience managing projects and partnering with various business partners and levels within the organization Ability to empower staff members to learn, grow, and innovate In-depth business knowledge and expertise in assigned sub-lines of business Ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships inside and outside of the Customer Education Services department Willingness to be flexible with time and approach, and adjust to a changing work environment A sense of humor Today, Freddie Mac makes home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing.
