Our community is a tight knit group of remarkable individuals interested in intellectual inquiry and making a difference in the world.RequirementsContracts Manager - Georgetown University FinanceThe Contracts Manager (CM) is responsible for contract processing, facilitating all aspects of contract review, and the internal contract work-flow processes. The Contracts Manager (CM) will report directly to the Senior Contracts Manager. The CMs role focuses on ensuring that all contracts assigned have all the required documentation per University Policy and adhere to University policies associated with supplier qualification and selection. The CM ensures that approvals have been obtained from the University's offices of General Counsel, Risk Management, Tax, Compliance, Facilities and Information Services, as appropriate, prior to obtaining the Treasurers or the Chief Procurement Officers signature on any contract. Contracts review and execution must occur quickly and efficiently. The CM will work collaboratively and in a manner that consistently promotes and reinforces an organizational culture dedicated to superior customer service. The CM will report directly to the Senior Contract Manager (SCM).The CMs duties include but are not limited to:Contract Operations

  • Oversees daily operating contracts for specified commodities and services.
  • Provides timely communication to stakeholders.
  • Monitors and balances workload for the team; track the purchasing of those commodities.
  • Secure all necessary approvals and ensures that the Universitys procedures are followed.
  • Ensures that the procurement of those specified commodities are conducted and managed while providing periodic reports regarding the purchasing of those commodities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, from time to time, to help the department to meet its objectives.Other Duties
    • Assists the Senior Contracts Manager with the implementation of the training, Standard Operating Procedures(SOP), contract functions and processes for the University and will lead training sessions for University staff.Work Interactions
      • Acts as a liaison between the University and Suppliers to ensure all informational and financial needs are met for all contracts.
      • Promotes exceptional customer service and dedication to problem solving in response to stakeholder and supplier inquiries.
      • Assists the Senior Contracts Manager with the implementation of the training, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and contract functions and processes for the University and will lead training sessions for University staff.Qualifications
        • Bachelors degree and 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
        • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, particularly, in the area of contracts
        • Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish stated goals and perform a variety of tasks.Preferred Qualifications
          • Ability to work under multiple deadlines.
          • Some procurement and/or legal skills.
          • Familiarity with accounting software and procurement management systems
