Let's make an impact together.Perspecta has an immediate/upcoming need for a Project Manager inWashington, DC.Perspecta is currently conducting interviews to make contingent offers for an exciting potential new customer, the Department of Labor (DOL). Candidates with a current Public Trust clearance, and all other qualified personnel are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration. The customer states that employees working under this task order shall be United States Citizens or legal permanent residents (i.e.: "Those authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship are encouraged to apply.s").Plans, directs, and co-ordinates a cross-functional team's activities to manage and implement project and/or interrelated projects from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage. Determines, monitors, and reviews all project/program economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, sub-contractors, resources and risk. Identifies and assembles the appropriate blend of resources to meet project/program needs and requirements; including sub-contractor selection. Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the project/program. Leads the project/program team(s) in determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans. Ensures adherence to legally binding requirements and client's long-term goals. Facilitates status review meetings among project team members and clients. Works with senior management on project/program proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules. Proposes and develops add-on program opportunities. Mentors and trains the customer and/or vendor in project management methods, procedures, and activities. Controls project/program requirements, scope, and change management issues. Coaches and counsels members of cross-functional teams to accomplish project/program goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues. Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key program criteria. Determines and installs appropriate automated systems for management of projects. Identifies and recommends contingency measures. Facilitates the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders. Advises senior management on project management capability and risk. Maintains awareness on emerging technologies and project/program management techniques.QualificationsEducation and Experience Required:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management or related degree and 10 years experience OR Associates Degree with 12 years relevant experience OR 14+ years relevant experienceKnowledge and Skills Required:Assist the Network Management team with tracking, administering, operating, and maintaining computer network system efficiency to achieve and maintain at least 99.9% uptime for the network.Assist the Software Applications Team with maintaining and existing Software Applications in the environment by helping track, administrate, operate and ensure secure and optimal application performance.Experience using agile methodology to accomplish Software Application Support tasks, requiring knowledge and experience using agile methodology.Coordinate internal resources and third parties support for the flawless execution of projects.Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.Ensure resource availability and allocation.Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress using MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio and/or other software tools.Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.Report and escalate project status, issues, risk, etc... to management as needed.Assist the Program Manager in managing the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.Perform risk management (analysis, mitigation, etc..) to minimize project risks.Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff membersPerform other related duties as assigned.Must possess excellent communication (oral and written) skills, attention to detail, problem solving and excellent customer service skills.An Active Public Trust or the ability to obtain a clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with Government Agencies a plusPMP preferredITIL v3 Foundation Level preferredSkilled in Microsoft Software particularly Project, Visio, Word, ExcelAbout PerspectaWhat matters to our nation, is what matters to us.
