Project Overview
The T&T Cloud Solutions Engineer (CSE) has responsibility as a
T&T corporate resource to develop, engineer, and implement
cloud migration and optimization technology solutions that align
with both client and corporate enterprise architecture needs. . The
T&T CSE will work in concert with the T&T Chief Architect
and Senior Application Solutions Engineer. Collectively, this team
will be charged with client requirements determination,
architecture designs, team reviews, optimization efforts and
encompassing cloud solutions for a customer base.
The T&T ESE is responsible for analyzing, adopting, adapting,
and applying current trends in technology solutions from Cloud
Service Providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.). The T&T CSE
will establish and build the technological groundwork as basis for
their adoption, adaptation, and integration of practical CSP-based
solutions to meet/exceed performance criteria. The T&T CSE
candidate must have hands-on experience in proactively and
holistically guiding clients through transformation and
optimization efforts with one or more CSPs. The T&T CSE will
articulate solutions, from planning stages to execution, to a wide
audience ranging from non-technical to highly technical in oral and
digital venues.
This position will be located in Falls Church, VA. Remote work,
both full and part time, is negotiable.
Primary Responsibilities
- Use hands-on experience to proactively and holistically guide,
engineer, and implement transformative solutions for enterprise
cloud-based architectures
- Experience leveraging Cloud Service Provider Partner status,
and expanding corporate relationships
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or
Google Cloud, including proficiency in native services for cloud
provisioning such as infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform,
CloudFormation) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker,
Kubernetes).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
for automation and orchestration.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best
practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
- Define/specify system solutions based on user/client needs,
cost, and required integration with existing or projected
applications, systems, or platforms
- Provide on-site cloud technical assistance to resolve issues at
corporate and client locations
- Enable faster and smarter business processes; implement
analytics for meaningful results
- Engage with senior managers regularly, reporting on project
status, activities, and achievements; create reports and
documentation for findings and solutions
- Provide solutioning content for use in white papers, proposals,
and oral presentations
- Conduct high-level root-cause analysis for service
interruption; establish preventive measures
- Design, develop and engineer technical solutions to facilitate
new device platform implementations, device roll outs, system
updates, and version migrations
- Leverage role/knowledge as corporate subject matter expert in
key areas: Azure (MS 365), Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud
Platform, Virtualization, enterprise security, etc.
- Build, scale, secure, migrate, and implement cloud services,
especially CI/CD pipelines and service based solutions, using
industry tools Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in related fields
- Able to attain a Secret clearance
- Deep understanding and working experience in migrating legacy
and modern software/systems from "on-premise to hybrid or 100%
cloud-based" and "hybrid to 100% cloud-based"
- Minimum of one cloud certification in related fields, examples:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Google Certified Professional Data Engineer
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate
- CompTIA Cloud+
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
- Excellent solution implementation expertise in IT and Cloud
Infrastructure and application modernization and migration
techniques.
- Broad IT industry knowledge, expertise in one or more technical
areas: User experience, digital transformation, microservices,
enterprise service bus, database design, access and identity
management, high availability infrastructure, Cloud, IoT, Event
Driven Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture, CI/CD,
DevSecOps, etc.
- Exemplary oral, written, interpersonal communication and
customer service skills.
- Able to produce results within a collaborative environment;
proficient in MS Office products
- Highly organized and deadline-driven; able to multitask Desired
Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in related fields
- Active Secret clearance
- Minimum of one information systems certification in related
fields (e.g., Security+, CCNA, CISSP, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience working in or for DoD, HHS, NIH, VA,
DoC, NOAA, NIST, DoJ, Treasury, or equivalent national government
organizations
- Multiple information systems certifications in related
fields
- Multiple cloud service provider certifications in related
fields
