We are seeking Salesforce Software Engineers who are passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies. As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One. Capital One is seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer to work closely with Product Managers and team members to ensure the timely and effective delivery of Salesforce requirements in the Financial Services industry. The team is responsible for managing all aspects of the Salesforce Development Community (SFDC) platform including configuration, customization and implementation of applications and 3rd party integrations. The role also includes collaborating with internal stakeholders and team members to build solutions in SFDC that support business requirements and processes for continuous improvement. What You'll Do:

• Demonstrate functional knowledge of Salesforce data structures and how to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements
• With minimal guidance, design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the Salesforce Development Community (SFDC) platform based on the industry best practices as well as business needs
• Deliver solutions and support for break-fix issues to manage Salesforce platform
• Handle numerous projects and priorities using sound development practices and organizational skills to ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions
• Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
• Provide current best practice and third party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document
• Create system documentation and play books and participate as a reviewer and contributor in requirements, design and code reviews
• Hands-on experience using Salesforce technologies including SFDC triggers and controllers, VisualForce page development, sObjects, SOQL, REST & SOAP APIs, and RESTful web services
• Demonstrate successful implementation of Batch Apex and/or Schedule Apex development
• Participate in a number of production support activities including change management, release management, capacity planning, incident management Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years of experience in Software Engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
  • At least 3 years of experience in Salesforce Software Engineering Preferred Qualifications:
    • Salesforce Certified Developer or Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
    • 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
    • 4+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Salesforce development with Apex, Native, VisualForce, Lightning framework, SOQL
    • 3+ years of experience in real-time Salesforce Development Community (SFDC) data integration with enterprise systems
    • 3+ years of experience supporting Salesforce configuration tasks such as field or page updates, workflows, validations, custom permissions, and approvals
