Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a Water Resources Professional Engineer to serve our government, industrial, and commercial clients from our Ashland, Virginia Office.


  • Location is flexible within the VA, MD, or NC area

    The ideal candidate will have a combination of education and experience in Water Resources/Environmental engineering including:


    • Water and wastewater systems engineering


    • Project management of water/wastewater design/build projects (all phases)


    • Stormwater hydrology/hydraulics


    • Stormwater BMP design and management.


      Proficiency using AutoCAD/Civil 3D/ArcGIS to prepare site designs and construction plan sets is desired, as well as experience with hydrologic/hydraulic models. Experience with client/project management and on-call services contracts is a plus.

      • Excellent writing skills


      • The ability to work independently and as part of a team


      • Willingness and an ability to travel and stay overnight


      • Acceptable motor vehicle record


      • Experience in project and task management and budgeting


      • Experience in design and construction oversight


        Education and Experience


        • B.S. Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.


        • Minimum 7 years' experience in Environmental Engineering/Water Resources Consulting


        • Candidate must have their Virginia P.E. license
