Description:Our client is looking for a Network Engineer to join their Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization. This person will be supporting the maintenance/development of their satellite network systems, supporting various national security missions. This position will assist in the implementation, administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of a diverse Ground Enterprise supporting multiple facilities.Responsibilities:- WAN/LAN concepts and technologies when dealing with network hardware and the interconnects associated with routers, firewalls and switches.- Layer 1 and Layer 2 Implementation/Configuration- Dynamic routing protocols such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)- Firewall implementation processes and concepts, and the management of these devices- Need to be able to implement Access Control Lists (ACL) via the Command Line Interface (CLI)Skills:network protocols, routers and switches, firewall, open shortest path first ospf, border gateway protocol bgp, enhanced interior gateway routing protocol eigrp, firewall management, access control, command line, cisco routers switches, cisco call managerTop Skills Details:network protocols, routers and switches, firewallAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Required:- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+years experience- Active Top Secret Clearance; eligibility for SCI- Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)- Open Shortest path First (OSPF)- Border gateway protocol (BGP)- Firewall configuration, administration and management- Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP)- Configuration, administration, maintenance of SolarWinds software- Travel up to 25% (both CONUS and OCONUS) About Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
