Job Description:

The GEICO Acquisition team is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Manager to lead the expansion and improvement of our Sales DevOps Team. The candidate must have excellent technical, problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong development background and experience handling performance and availability of cloud systems. The candidate must be able to lead all technical aspects of a project, including technical design and development, infrastructure and production support. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the Microsoft Azure platform and infrastructure. The candidate should also have strong skills with monitoring tools and be able to identify application issues quickly and efficiently. The selected candidate should have the following skills: -Experience as a Sr Developer, Engineer or Architect is required-Must have very strong communication and project coordination skills as well as a proven track record for delivering cross team projects.- 3+ years of experience working in Agile, .Net and C# / Visual Studio.-Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Cloud Services or other Azure offerings.- Hands-on experience leading an Agile team is desirable.- Proven experience in team building, collaboration, coaching, and mentoring.- Passion for delivering projects that exceed our customers' needs and for managing project timelines.- System level troubleshooting abilities crossing multiple applications is highly desirable.-Experience with Azure DevOps is required-Experience with the Agile methodology is a major plus. Candidate will actively participate in performance evaluations and goal setting for their staff and the coaching and mentoring of team members. -Must be able to support 24x7 rotational on-call responsibilities.
