Walter L. Phillips, Inc. -is an established land development engineering firm that provides services to clients in the Northern Virginia / Washington DC metropolitan area. We currently have job openings for dynamic, energetic individuals with civil engineering experience to join our multidisciplinary team to prepare site and subdivision plans in accordance with Northern Virginia codes and regulations. You must have good oral and written communication skills, work well in a team setting as well as individually, be able to coordinate with others to meet deadlines, be self-motivated and have a "can do" attitude. The successful candidates are expected to prepare plans in compliance with local regulations and codes, conduct site visits, and demonstrate the ability to present technical information in understandable and professional written, verbal and graphic form.You will be considered for this position by demonstrating these minimum qualifications:Applicable degree plus minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience with desire to pursue PE licenseExperience in the Northern Virginia region is idealProficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office softwareProficiency with storm water management, grading, erosion-siltation, earthworkAccurate site and subdivision layout in accordance with local codesWe have a history of promoting those individuals who consistently exhibit a commitment to achieving the long-term goals and continued success of the firm.
