These key directions intersect with the OITO vision, the EPA's strategic plan, and the President's Management Agenda for establishing a citizen-centered, results-oriented, and market-based IT management and provisioning infrastructure and product suite.The Test Engineer shall provide service, validation, and testing (SVT) services including QA and production control support services. The Test Engineer shall automate validation and testing where feasible to gain efficiencies during the performance of the TO. SVT is planning and coordinating tests to ensure that specifications for the service design are met and validated through delivery of the service and to manage and limit risks that could result from insufficient utility and warranty of the service in operation.SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Maintains IT infrastructure equipment & provides user support and training.
  • Performs complex SVT services, including creating, validating, and managing test plans.
    • Conducts tests, verifies and communicates results.
      • Creates test reports and conducts post-release testing to ensure value.
        • Evaluates tests according to exit criteria.
          • Supports test environment configuration and maintenance.
            • Validates and communicates results of testing activities.
              EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CERTIFICATIONS:
              • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Security fields
                • Strong written and oral communication skills
                  • Senior level (6+ years) of experience with designing and carrying out testing in device testing, usability testing, cognitive testing, human subjects testing, or other related testing experience
                    • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
