We are a passionate and growing non-profit organization focused on helping students achieve their education and career goals. As we continue to expand, we are looking to hire a talented and experienced Analytics Engineer to join our remote team immediately.

In this role, you'll be working on real-time business metrics aggregation, data warehousing and querying, schema and data management as well as a number of other analytics infrastructure systems.

With our team, you will strive to architect, develop, and deploy world-class data systems to empower every tier of our mission-driven company, as well as build scalable systems that enable self-service access to sophisticated data and analyses.

The main requirements for this position are experience with data warehousing, dbt, SQL, and Python or Ruby scripting. Experience with Snowflake or a Snowflake certification is a HUGE plus.

This is a 100% remote position. They are looking to hire immediately and can finish the interview process in LESS THAN A WEEK! They have an amazing culture, an energetic team, and there is a ton of room for growth opportunities.

    What You Will Be Doing
    • Designing, building, and maintaining data models foundational to our company's internal and client-facing reporting and analytics
    • Creating and supporting various ETL scripts, jobs, and technologies
    • Designing, building, and supporting a data warehouse for the company's business
    • Tuning and optimizing data storage technologies
    • Interacting with data analysts and powering users to define metrics to build data models
    • Functioning as a data expert to advise users on the usage of structured and unstructured data
    • Supporting APIs, tools, and 3rd party products to extract data from Cloud/SaaS applications
      What You Need for this Position

      Must Haves
      • B.S. in Computer Technology, Information Systems or related field (preferred but applicable years of experience may be substituted for the degree)
      • 2+ years of applicable work experience
      • Detailed knowledge and experience with Data warehousing architecture and data modeling best practices
      • Exposure to one or more ETL tools and a solid understanding of ETL pipelines; understanding of third-party data integration tools (i.e. Fivetran, Stitch)
      • Expert knowledge of SQL
      • Proficiency in dbt
      • Advanced skills in a scripting language (Python preferred)
      • Ability to build and optimize data sets, big data data pipelines and architectures
      • Ability to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement
      • Excellent analytic skills associated with working on unstructured datasets
      • Ability to build processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata
      • Team player and receptive to giving and receiving feedback, with the ability to effectively collaborate with and communicate complex topics to an audience of diverse backgrounds and skills
        Nice To Haves

        • Background and experience in higher education
        • Experience with Looker and LookML
        • Experience with Salesforce EDA
