Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesData modeling and database design from requirementsCreate and maintain ERDMetadata management and repository usageDatabase schema creation and managementCreate system documentation related to the databaseCapacity planningCode reviews and walkthroughsPerformance management and tuningDatabase availability, Backup and RecoveryDatabase Security, integrity, and stabilityMonitor and management transaction logsUser account and role based security controlOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications BS Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics, or Mathematics required.5 years hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including installation, configuration, management, and data modeling. Environments include on-premise and cloud.3 years hands on experience with Microsoft Access databases; creation, design, management and integration.5 years of large database design and implementation in federal government enterprise IT environments that include working with big data, data warehousing, data lakes, AWS Redshift and RDS, Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQLDesired Experience & Skills Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), requirements gathering, design, configure, tune, and monitor database performance.Create entity relationship diagrams, database models, and database related system documentation.Desired Certifications Microsoft SQL Server any versionOracle, AWS, Microsoft, or other professional certification related to IT systems, databases, or cloud technologiesJob Type: Full-timePay: $145,000.00 - $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayApplication Question(s):This position requires a US Citizen.
