Job Title: Engineer-- Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services seeks an Engineer in Washington, DC. This location is Metro accessible.--

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance during his/her watch of all equipment in the plant
• Works with the Safety and Quality Assurance Coordinator
• Follows the direction of the O&M Manager and Project Manager
• Operates and maintains one of more systems which provide the facility with such services as heat, air conditioning, refrigeration, steam or high temperature water or electricity
• Observes and interprets readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspect of the system's operation
• Adjusts controls to insure safe and efficient operation of the system and to meet demands for the service provided
• Records in logs various aspects of the system's operation
• Keep the engines, machinery and equipment of the system in good working order
• Evaluates Building conditions and makes necessary adjustments
• Reviews and signs the First and Third Class Log Book daily
• Develops Preventative Maintenance Procedures for new Equipment
• Fuel Oil Monitoring is conducted daily Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid DC 1st or 3rd Class License
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience
  • Must be proficient in the use and execution of the Daikin
  • Must be able to pass a background check including a drug test
