Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

for a contract position at a school located in Naval Anacost Annex,
DC. This role requires expertise in special education across
various grade levels, including early childhood, elementary,
middle, and high school settings. The successful candidate will
demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting diverse learners and
fostering inclusive classroom environments. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
tailored to students' unique needs. Collaborate with general
education teachers, therapists, and families to create supportive
learning plans. Utilize a range of instructional strategies and
assistive technologies to enhance student engagement and
achievement. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods
accordingly. Maintain accurate records and participate in team
meetings and parent conferences. Desired Experience and
Qualifications: Proven experience working with children in special
education settings, preferably across multiple grade levels.
Knowledge of early childhood through high school curriculum
modifications. Ability to assess student needs and implement
appropriate interventions. Strong communication and organizational
skills. Certification or licensure in special education preferred.
