Pathologist Rate: Up to $85 per hour Job Summary: We are seeking a
passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join
our partner school. The SLP will play a key role in identifying
students with communication disorders that may impact their
educational performance and providing targeted speech and language
services to students who require them. The ideal candidate will be
a collaborative team player with strong assessment, intervention,
and communication skills. Job Goal: The key role of the Speech
Language Pathologist (SLP) is to identify students with a
communication disorder that may adversely affect a child’s
educational performance and/or to address the communication needs
of students who have been identified as needing Speech Language
Services within the school. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assess students to identify potential communication deficits/needs,
including articulation, expressive/receptive language, and
pragmatic language. Write evaluation reports and Evaluation Summary
Reports based on student needs. Generate, implement, and monitor
Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs). Plan and provide
services for students with speech/language impairment as well as
students with various disabilities qualifying for speech as a
related service. Provide transdisciplinary speech and language
services within the natural context of the school day. Support the
use of Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) tools for
students, including modeling/support for classroom staff. Serve
students and assist staff with feeding/swallowing concerns.
Maintain case records for students, including service logs,
progress monitoring, and quarterly goal reporting. Complete
documentation of services and progress reports for Cost Recovery
(Medicaid). Collaborate and consult with parents, teachers, and
other school staff. Create a schedule designed to meet all
students’ service needs in collaboration with school/staff
schedules. Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Speech Language
Pathologist in the State of Delaware. Completion of a Master’s
degree program in the area of Speech and Language Pathology. ASHA
(American Speech/Language & Hearing Association) certified or
working toward ASHA certification during Clinical Fellowship Year.
Must be able to stand and work continuously for a minimum of 4
hours per workday. Minimum lifting requirements: 50 pounds (with
assistance). Must be able to use arms and hands without
restrictions to accommodate the physical, mobility, and ambulatory
needs of students. Physical Requirements: The position requires the

Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the
