Our mission is to join teachers, children, and their families to create an unsurpassed early childhood educational experience.We are seeking Lead Teachers to join our Twos preschool programs at the following campuses:Apple Ridge/Montgomery Village - serving upper Montgomery County, Gaithersburg, and Goshen areasBells Mill/Potomac - located in Potomac near Cabin John and Bells Mill Elementary SchoolsDowntown Bethesda - located in the heart of exciting Bethesda/Chevy Chase (metro accessible)Greenwood / Hyattsville - conveniently located by Prince George's Plaza (metro accessible)Potomac Village - right off Falls and River Road in the heart of Potomac, with public transportation access to the 2T or #47 bus Sunny Days - near the University of Maryland College Park (metro accessible)Available positions may be full or part-time. Your role will be to meet our students' individual needs and foster each child's independence in a family-like environment of trust and warmth.This position pays a minimum of $22/hr with the necessary credentialsWhat You Will Do:Provide for the educational needs and interests of preschool children using a creative and age-appropriate curriculumSupervision of preschool children to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all studentsSupport the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child in the classroomDemonstrate effective leadership among the classroom teamDemonstrate effective communication skills and positive interpersonal relations with children, families, colleagues, and communityClassroom management that fosters a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staffRequirements:The education/certification requirements for these positions are as follows:Lead Teachers in our Twos preschool program must have a minimum of the MSDE 90hr Preschool Certification or a CDA with the Preschool Endorsement.Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and instructional strategiesStrong knowledge of MSDE regulationsA personal demeanor that is warm, friendly, and cool-temperedProficient technological skills including Microsoft Office is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading skillsExtremely reliable in attendance and punctualityHighly organized and able to prioritize and multi-taskTeam-oriented and willing to work with othersPer Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must submit to and successfully pass a state and federal background check as a contingency of employment.
