Job Description:

Howard University Physician Assistant Program Major responsibility is providing quality education within the didactic and clinical curriculum of the program. The Principal Faculty w ill develop, maintain, and ensure adequacy and appropriateness of assigned didactic and clinical courses and team-taught assignments to ensure that they are in accordance with the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) standards. The successful applicant will:

• Serve as the principal faculty in the Physician Assistant program.
• Provide classroom instruction, academic counselling, clinical student support and engage students inclusive of research and inter-professional conference opportunities.
• Participate and assist with data collection and analysis to support the ARC-PA ongoing program self-assessment and site visit processes.
• Provide faculty support for curriculum development, curriculum mapping and coordination of didactic and clinical course instruction.
• Provide support for remedial student instruction, when applicable.
• Promote excellence in teaching, research, academic scholarship, and service.
• Actively engaged in the marketing and recruitment, admission process, and retention of students.
• Participate in graduation and white coat ceremonies.
