REPORTS TO:Principal, Assistant Principal

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed staff who are meeting or exceeding all performance standards.
  • Staff who recently retired and have not satisfied their bonified break in service, and Retirement Opportunity Participants who have not completed their ROP hours for the upcoming school year, are not eligible to work summer school.
  • Instructional candidates must hold a valid Virginia teaching license in area to be taught.
  • Applicants who currently teach the subject during the regular school year shall be given priority for summer school assignments.
    If a licensed teacher is unable to be secured, the following candidates may be given consideration:
    • Recently contracted PWCS certified teacher whose VDOE license is pending issuance.
    • Teaching Professional on Temporary Assignment (TPOTA, CPOTA) who successfully completed long term certified assignments in 2022-23.
    • Temporary Teachers and Long-Term Substitutes who successfully completed long term teaching assignments in 2022-23. (Rate of pay $24/hour).

      Positions are contingent upon sufficient student enrollment and program needs.An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work at the school.
      
      DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES/ILLUSTRATIVE EX OF WORK:
      
      SALARY:Licensed Instructional rate $46/hour. Licensed Non-instructional rate $31/hour.
      
      FULL TIME/PART TIME: TEMPORARY
