Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Dean reports to the Senior Vice President and Provost, and is the chief academic and executive officer of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A advanced degree or a minimum of 10 years of professional journalism experience.
• Demonstrated record of professional accomplishments and leadership.
• A national reputation as an expert practitioner or scholar within the field.
• A proven track record in diversity efforts and experience with alumni or donor relations.
