Job Title: Interventional Radiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:30 - 16:00) Experience: Fluoroscopy experience required License: State license required Certifications: N/A Must-Have: 1-2 call shifts a week and the possibility of 1-2 late shifts (16:00 - 07:00) if needed. Description: The facility has five procedure rooms. This includes two fluoroscopy rooms, two ultrasound rooms, and one CT capable room. The unit services about 10-15 cases a day on average. Typical cases include joint injections, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, nephrostomy, and cholecystectomy tube placements and exchanges. Other cases may involve abscess drains, port placements, biopsies, thrombectomies, embolizations, and chest tube placements. There is a zero-tolerance policy for THC. Medical marijuana cards are not accepted. Fit testing is required. Travelers must shave for the fit test. If an exemption is needed, a letter from an approved provider is required before arrival.
