Job Description:
The Senior Estimator will be a key member of the preconstruction
team, responsible for overseeing the estimating process from
concept through final bid. This role requires deep knowledge across
all construction trades, strong relationships with subcontractors,
and the ability to lead and mentor a team. The ideal candidate has
a proven track record of winning work , thrives under deadlines,
and takes pride in producing accurate, strategic, and competitive
bids. Client Details We are a leading general contractor based in
Montgomery County, PA , with a strong reputation for delivering
high-quality construction projects across various sectors including
commercial, multifamily, life science, and institutional. As we
continue to grow our footprint in the region, we are seeking a
Senior Construction Estimator who brings leadership, experience,
and a winning mindset to help drive our success in competitive and
negotiated bids. Description Lead the full estimating process for
multiple concurrent bids, from early budgets to hard bids and GMPs.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates across all
CSI divisions. Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to
develop thorough scope coverage and risk assessments. Lead and
mentor a team of junior estimators and coordinate efforts with
project managers and executives. Oversee subcontractor
solicitation, bid leveling, and scope review processes. Identify
value engineering options and provide strategic input to enhance
competitiveness and project feasibility. Collaborate with business
development and leadership teams on proposal strategies and
presentations. Maintain and improve historical cost databases,
subcontractor databases, and estimating tools. Profile Bachelor's
degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a
related field (required) . 7 years of estimating experience in a
general contracting or CM environment. Diverse experience across
multiple project types: commercial, multifamily, life sciences,
institutional, interiors, and ground-up. Demonstrated ability to
win competitive bids and contribute to overall company growth.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a
high-performing preconstruction team. Proficient with estimating
software (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, Sage).
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong understanding of local subcontractor market and construction
practices in the Greater Philadelphia area. Job Offer Key
