Job Description:

Software Engineer in Test III (Sterling, VA)

Duties: Define, develop, and implement software quality assurance practices

and procedures. Create test plans and perform quality assurance assessments

utilizing black box, white box, and automation testing. Define scope and

objectives at all levels of quality assurance testing. Utilize SCRUM and

Agile methodologies to establish standards and best practices for the

quality assurance function including maintaining coding and documentation

standards, supporting bug fixes, and implementing QA processes. Analyze

user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate and improve

existing systems and products to meet customer specifications and business

requirements. Design, test, and maintain products, implement solutions, and

work with the development organization to expand product certification and

test automation processes. Test APIs and REST web services, end-to-end cl

client/server applications, database interactions and integration points be

between components. Develop automated tests based on written test cases and pe

performance metrics, and design and implement automated test cases. Develop an

and document process improvements and test procedures in order to improve wo

workflow. Collaborate with the Product Management and Development staff to de

derive test design and specifications based on business requirements, and pr

prepare detailed reports of automated test results and metrics.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical

Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and three (3) years of

experience performing software development and/or quality assurance for

full-stack applications; or in the alternative, a Bachelor’s degree (or fore

foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Info

Information Systems, or related field and five (5) years of experience as indi

indicated above.

Special Requirements:

Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): performing automation framework

development and utilizing automation tools including Ansible, Puppet, and

AWS cloud; DE performing front-end testing using Selenium and Protractor, an

and unit testing using JUnit and JMeter on full stack applications; DE de

developing and editing code using Intellij and Eclipse; DE utilizing SCRUM an

and Agile methodologies to establish standards and best practices for qu

quality assurance functions; and DE performing web development using Java, Ja
