This role works closely with the Social Media/Content Marketing Manager, internal marketing teams, creative agencies and technical vendors in a support, production, and implementation capacity. This means supporting day-to-day management and production of

social media editorial, social media campaigns (both local and national programs), and general digital marketing support. This role requires taking in multiple streams of content and transforming those assets into cohesive brand writing, editing and scheduling

social media editorial across channels.

The Social Media Coordinator will report to the Social Media/Content Marketing Manager and work in concert with the greater web marketing and corporate marketing teams to provide excellent customer service to the B2C and B2B marketing organizations.

The Social Media Content Coordinator must be an experienced writer - journalism, blogging, communications/PR or other long form writing. The Social Media Coordinator will possess experience in (having worked social media within professional/corporate or

agency) social media marketing, writing for the web and content marketing. The Social Media Coordinator will possess a solid understanding of SEO.

Responsibilities

Weekly Social Media Editorial

--- Receive, organize and distill assets from a variety external partners and from within the organization to derive a timely & relevant social media content stream, organized into a Marketing Calendar; then further refined into cohesive editorial stream.

--- Compile and draft a weekly editorial skeleton/framework, based on the greater Marketing Calendar. o Understand how to develop a strong editorial mix, where brand is presented while still engaging users.

o Prioritize the importance of assets/events - work with Social Media Manager to make decisions on what's included/prioritized into the weekly editorial.

o Make connections across multiple content and digital marketing efforts to ensure that marketing efforts are integrated for both everyday editorial and campaigns.

--- Write and schedule all Social Media content, as outlined in the editorial skeleton/framework, obtain approvals from all stakeholders as/when needed, and then publish all content via Social Media platform.

o Evolve writing/content through multiple rounds and proactively seek to enrich content with multi-media assets.

o Editorial writing will be primary B2C but, at times, B2B editorial writing/support may be required.

--- Work w/ internal teams and outside agencies to create/make ready and curate supporting Social Media assets, such as imagery, video etc. Provide oversight on proper formatting and deadlines.

--- Keep abreast of popular entertainment channels, including linear TV programming and streaming entertainment providers, including Netflix, Hulu, etc., and keep up with current pop culture trends. Work to weave in timely/relevant entertainment trends while

maintaining "elevated" editorial that is useful and informative to users -- remaining on trend.

--- Work closely with the company's eCare team to: o Understand and uphold company social media policy to protect the brand while respecting customers' voice.

o Observe and report user engagement across all Social Media platforms, making sure that user concerns and questions are being addressed optimally.

o Report and manage negative user behavior to ensure the company's Rules of Engagement on Social Media are upheld.

National Digital Marketing Support

--- Work with corporate marketing and agencies to support brand-wide social media campaigns for B2C and B2B engagement efforts, as needed.

o Campaign support inclusive of creative development, campaign implementation, editorial support, reporting, user engagement, fulfillment and post campaign evergreen/long term content marketing wrap-up.

--- Working with web team, support day-to-day content development including writing blurbs/teaser, drafting web page copy and gathering image & video assets.

o Originate short web articles and some long form content, as needed.

o Develop mini-editorial campaigns for B2B and B2C national branding efforts - understanding corporate initiatives to then derive appropriate content stints to highlight within social.

o Make graphic modifications/basic image editing, in support of social media editorial, as necessary.

--- Participate in and collaborate on monthly and quarterly editorial planning for B2B and B2C brands finding natural/authentic content to develop that support SEO, branding and better user engagement/virality.

Local Digital Marketing Support

--- Listen, consult and document local market social media campaign needs. Acting as a liaison to:

o Work with local markets to understand their Social Media needs, including day-to-day editorial and local social engagement campaigns.

o Proactively gather information from local markets on local B2B and B2C events and ensure those are covered in the Social Editorial and shared with webmasters for presentation in web site(s).

o Take requirements and gather assets from local markets, organize documentation and deliverables to ensure all local social media editorial and campaign needs are met.

o Provide everyday local Social Media support that goes beyond Weekly Editorial, such as help w/ creating or finding appropriate supporting assets, including imagery and video, etc.

o Support local social campaigns with small paid social budgets - setting up posts, targeting and burst ad runs to gain highly localized brand traction.

--- Work with greater web team to develop end-to-end campaigns/programs to enact local markets' social media vision/growth.

--- Draft/develop writing, campaign forms, supporting graphics/layouts to execute local market social media campaigns - working with web team.

--- Make digital marketing connections/amplification across: local campaigns, e-newsletter articles, landing pages and weekly editorial to ensure local efforts are fully supported.

--- Support campaign end-to-end; beyond copy & creative, assist with legal rules, documentation, fulfillment and reporting.

Social Media Channel Innovation & Growth

--- Support and growth secondary social media channels, including: Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Google +, Yelp, etc

--- Assist in the support of B2B editorial - providing copy review, understand metrics.

--- Local channel clean up and growth - w/ guidance from web team. Examples include: Yelp, GBL, Yext,Vimeo etc.

--- Research and stay abreast of the latest in social media campaign structure/gaming/user engagement and general social media trends. Bring innovation ideas to monthly team members for the development of fun and engaging campaigns that grow the brand and

enrich customers.

Asset Management, Reporting & Analytics

--- Prepare reporting for local social media campaigns' performance.

--- Prepare monthly social media reporting - top channels.

--- Participate in ad hoc social media performance analysis.

RequirementsREQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's degree required. Major in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Media preferred.

  • 2-4 years' experience as a writer - journalism, blogging, web writer, communications/PR or other long form writing. Familiarization with writing for the entertainment industry is a plus.

  • 1-2 years' experience with hands-on social media management for a business/corporation. Personal social media use is not applicable.

  • 1-2 years' experience supporting social media and content marketing.
  • 1-2 years' experience in social media metrics management and reporting.
  • Exceptional writing ability - multiple writing samples are required.
  • Expertise in the technical functionality (how to post, best practices, proper formats, etc) of top social media channels (FBook, Twitter, LinkedIN, YouTube) is required.

  • Experience with social media tools and/or marketing automation/CRM platforms is preferred.

  • Experience with HTML formatting, web page layouts and basic image editing skills preferred.

  • Knowledge of and experience with IA/UX & web design principles - command of strong visual design and landing page best practice is preferred.

  • Must thrive working within fast-paced, innovative environment with a strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and multi-task across campaigns & projects.

  • Ability to manage work within multi-functional teams on tight deadlines.
  • Highly organized with strong self-management ability to time manage according to work streams.

  • Extreme detail orientation is a must.
  • Strong ability to support marketing effort with solid interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service.
