Job Description:

Statement of Purpose

To support the Operations department by collecting and assimilating sales data from multiple sources and providing analytical support to create presentations and data views for management review.
Qualifications Training and Specialized Knowledge


  • Strong analytical and mathematical background with a penchant for accuracy and details.

  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, Crystal Reports, and their associated data connection methods and procedures.

  • Well versed in the creation and use of pivot tables within Excel, connecting to external data sources from excel, and strong familiarity with Excel formula---s and functions to include the creation of custom functions.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel---s dynamic range and charting capability its use and implementation to include automation through the use of macros and VBA coding for Excel. Must have some experience with Excel---s VBA coding.

  • Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel---s Power Pivot Add-on

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access---s data queries, SQL statement development and reporting to include in depth knowledge on database structure and creation.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access VBA coding

  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle SQL query

  • Well versed in the use of MINITAB

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Must be detailed oriented and organized to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Must be able to assimilate data and understand data quickly and develop the best reporting view possible to explain results to management.

  • Understanding of database structures and management for sales administration and forecasting requirements.

  • Knowledge of dashboard reporting tools and their implementation and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of sales forecasting techniques and the application of business intelligence to enhance forecasts




    Education



    Bachelor---s degree in business or related field or equivalent from an accredited university or college or relevant, experience in an analyst position.

      Experience


      • Three to five years related business experience.

      • One to two years Excel VBA programming experience.

      • One to two years Access VBA programming experience

      • One to two years Access database and SQL query writing experience.

      • One to two years Oracle SQL developer query writing experience

      • One to two years MINITAB experience

      • One to two years John Galt Forecast X experience desired but not required

      • One to two years analytical and statistical experience


        Travel

        10% or less.

        Specific Duties and Responsibilities


        • Develop, coordinate, and manage all sales reports and its associated data to include sales reporting, open order reporting and shipment status coordination between Associated NPA---s and GSA.

        • Coordinate the distribution of all sales data to NIB management and Associated Agencies. Assist in the planning and implementation of the Departments--- expense budgets as well as expense tracking.

        • Assist in the execution of the organization---s sales forecasting process as well as the analysis/dissemination of sales data via dashboard reporting tools.

        • Develop queries to extract data and perform analysis on data to create summary reports and charts for management.

        • Develop and produce dashboard reports utilizing business line manager---s hierarchal structure requests to ---cut--- sales data into meaningful segments and presenting the information with analysis that can be quickly assimilated by the business line managers.

        • Assist Business Line Directors as requested to develop reports pertaining to their business line.

        • Assist in the development of yearly sales forecasts by lines of business utilizing forecasting tools and business intelligence as part of a standard process to include regularly scheduled reviews to track the accuracy and adjustments of ongoing forecasts.

        • Coordinate the tracking and reporting of GSA depot open order shipment status between Associated NPA---s and GSA central office.

        • Provide detailed analysis of GSA customer(s) sales information.

        • Provide sales information to NIB associated agencies, government customers, and NIB staff, which include sales by customer, and contact management information.

        • Produce reports including:


          • Major Reports

          • Consolidated Late/Open Order

          • GSA Depot Open Order

          • GSA Depot Sales

          • Operations Departmental Expense Budget

          • Writing Instruments Group Sales

          • Agency AbilityOne Profiles

          • GSA Depot Inventory Snapshots

          • MAS Sales

          • Sales forecasts and accuracy/adjustment reports

          • Business intelligence reports as it pertains to the development of sales forecasts





            • Develop and deliver monthly reporting on fiscal year budgets and forecasted sales.

            • Proactively work with Senior Management and department directors to further develop and refine reporting to meet departmental needs.

            • Track departmental expenses through established reporting structures.

            • Respond to Ad Hoc sales reporting requests in a timely manner.

            • Deliver special projects as assigned by Senior Management.
