calls for a senior writer with a particular set of skills. The
ideal writer will have a business writing or technical writing
background but will possess the talent to command Highmarks simple
but conversational brand voice. Day-to-day responsibilities include
rewriting dense, often challenging documents, and bringing them
into an audience-friendly tone. Projects will span member letters,
website copy, flyers, brochures, and direct mail pieces. This
position requires effective communication and collaboration with
members of Highmarks account team, strategists, and designers. It
requires an ability to write at different reading levels and a
knack for writing efficiently when confronted with dense, often
cumbersome documents.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret and rewrite copy that needs to be brought into
Highmarks brand voice
- Provide subject-matter direction and expertise to complete
projects and assignments.
- Write content for printed, electronic and digital
communications, including flyers, websites, emails, text messages,
FAQs/talking points, newsletters, RFP/RFI responses, presentations,
and social media content, that are appropriate for the intended
audience, understandable, persuasive and effectively achieve
marketing goals.
- Ensure communications are accurate, on message and brand,
appropriate and completed/distributed on time and on budget to all
markets. Ensures proofreading and readability/health literacy.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
